Peter Andre returns to I’m A Celeb

Peter Andre has made an ”emotional” return to ‘I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!’ after first meeting ex-wife Katie Price on the ITV1 reality show in 2004.

Peter Andre has made an “emotional” return to ‘I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!’

The 38-year-old singer – who met ex-wife Katie Price when they both competed on the ITV1 show in 2004 – jetted in to the Australian city of Brisbane this morning (24.11.11) to work on ITV2 spin-off series ‘I’m A Celebrity . Get Me Out Of Here Now!’ and potentially take part in a Bushtucker Trial.

He said: “It’s been emotional to return here. I had some mixed feeling yesterday. I’ve been back to Australia since the jungle, but never back there.

“I’m on the ITV2 panel for three days, but I’m here for four days. They are not telling me what’s happening on the other day. They’ve blocked one day out and they’ve told me, ‘You’ll see what happens’. I don’t know what they’re doing.

“I’m looking forward to it, though. I wouldn’t mind going in there, as long as I’m not competing. I’d definitely drop in there for a day or two to have some fun.”

However, Peter has warned he won’t be finding love in the jungle this time around, and even if he wanted to, he couldn’t compete with 24-year-old hunk Mark Wright for the affections of Australian model Emily Scott.

He added: “The last time I came here single, I ended up walking out and getting married. This time I’m going to try and stay single.

“Mark is the younger generation. He’s a good-looking bloke and he’s probably 15 years younger than me. I can’t compete.”

Harold Bishop’s shock treatment for Antony Cott on and campmates

It was time for the I’m a Celeb Gameshow Challenge, with two teams vying against each other and Ian Smith (aka Harold Bishop from Neighbours) on hosting duties…

The first game was called Dart Attack and it was hosted by Ian, better known as Harold Bishop from the famous Australian soap, who will be doing Gameshow Challenge for the next three days!

Each team had to select two celebrities to play the game. One would throw a dart onto a dart board which had been sectioned into subjects; the other would have to answer a question.

If the question was answered correctly, that team would get a point and their opponent would get an electric shock. Answer wrong and receive an electric shock.

To make matters worse, the celebrity had to stand barefoot as various jungle critters crawled over them as they threw. Eek!

Willie was first to throw and Antony correctly answered that Rome was the capital city of Italy. Dougie then threw for the blue team with Pat answering that Canberra was the capital of Australia.

Antony didn’t know what Toady’s occupation was in Neighbours and so received a shock. But also lost the challenge for the orange team, resulting in a gunking for his team members but worse sentencing them to a night in the Jungle Sin Bin.

Australian ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ to return next year?

The Nine Network has reportedly renewed Celebrity Apprentice for another year.

The Australian television network, which premiered the star-studded version of the reality TV show last month, is reportedly very happy after the programme topped viewer ratings again on Wednesday night with Lisa Curry’s elimination.

Although Nine bosses have not confirmed the rumors, television insiders have predicted that a formal announcement of the return of the show in 2012 will take place at Nine’s programme schedule launch on November 23.

Media analyst Steve Allen told the Herald Sun that executives would be crazy not to continue the show, adding: “Celebrity Apprentice is a real asset to Nine.”

This series of Celebrity Apprentice, which is hosted by Yellow Brick Road boss Mark Bouris, still features stars such as Pauline Hanson, Jesinta Campbell, Julia Morris, Jason Coleman and Shane Crawford.

Earlier this week, celebrity agent Max Markson apologised to model and former teammate Didier Cohen after branding him “a self-confessed cocaine addict” shortly before they were both fired in the boardroom.

Beauty queen Jesinta Campbell has the Universe at her feet as she eyes a win on Celebrity Apprentice

JESINTA Campbell has a vision board in her Sydney apartment, outlining her dreams and goals.

The last thing she wrote on it reads: “To win Celebrity Apprentice and raise $100,000 for my charity.”

But the 20-year-old beauty queen is no dreamer – this week she will move a step closer to making her vision a reality.

With the finale in sight (it airs Monday November 21), Campbell’s one of the final five left standing on Channel Nine’s Celebrity Apprentice, a surprise ratings hit that has broken, rather than made, careers.

Defying critics and fellow contestants, Campbell has become the break-out star, just by playing herself, and not the game. She has stripped to a bikini for charity, bared her business teeth by going toe-to-toe with celebrity agent Max Markson in the boardroom before coming up against the show’s “bully”, Deni Hines.

Through it all she hasn’t taken a backward step, earning a reputation as business-smart and effective, while former AFL great Warwick Capper stole the title of pretty and vacuous.

Celebrity Apprentice boss Mark Bouris warned that Campbell, an A-grade high school student who put a university scholarship on hold to model at 17, was “sharp, savvy, and far more than a catwalk model”.

Markson even tried to dismiss her as a pretty face. Now he’d probably dearly love to manage the former Miss Universe Australia. But with TV deals afoot, magazines queuing for interviews and brands lining up to endorse her, the fiercely independent Campbell is doing very nicely.

During an interview with Insider last week at her Darling Point unit, Campbell pulled no punches, saying she has no time for people dismissing her as “the young, pretty one” on Celebrity Apprentice.

“I have had to stand up for myself and constantly prove myself,” she says. “I really had to fight for some of those things because I copped a lot of flak from the oldies. I was never annoyed. Being a victim is powerless.

“There’s lots of judgment placed on girls who enter beauty pageants and models … It’s nice to show those judgments are wrong.”

Fellow contestant, comedian Julia Morris, predicts big things for her friend. “She makes the rest of those Miss Universe and DJs girls look like amateurs,” Morris says. “She has beauty and depth, rare to find in a 20-year-old. I think, that’s why on the show we kept going on about her age.” Centre for Breakthrough Leadership CEO, Shelley Holmes, who has known Campbell since she was a young girl, agrees.

“The spirit and essence of the Jes I knew growing up is shining through,” she says.

“I can guarantee if there were no cameras she would be doing the same things, raising money for charity, supporting and helping people who find themselves in a weak moment.”

Campbell, born and bred on the Gold Coast, is managed by Sharon Finnigan (whose celeb stable also boasts the likes of Karl Stefanovic and Jaynie Seal) – a deal the pair struck in July when her Miss Universe contract expired.

Lauren Miller, CEO of rival management group, Harry M Miller, says Campbell’s “fearless” and “honest” run on the show has exposed a depth of character that has television executives circling. “A reality show takes guts for a celebrity,” Miller says.

“It highlights vulnerabilities and weaknesses. Or strengths. Jesinta’s come out shining. I wouldn’t want to let her go.”

Those who know Campbell, who is raising money on Celebrity Apprentice for anti-bullying group Reach (she was a victim in high school) say long before her celebrity stocks rose, she was forthright and driven.

Kalindi Brennan, who taught Campbell drama and music from the age of 11 to 13, says she “always had that special something. I would have flagged her up as going far.”

In 2009, she didn’t take up a journalism scholarship at Bond University, instead moving to Sydney with $500, a plane ticket and no job, to pursue a modelling career.

Two months before finishing school in 2008, she won a modelling competition and contract, but work was scarce in Queensland.

“I literally rocked up to the Sydney agencies with my suitcase and pillow under my arm,” she says.

“The first one said no, the second, EMG Models, said yes.”

“Jesinta stood out the moment I met her,” Natalie Ko, from EMG Models, says. “She went out of her way to help and befriend new models in town.”

Campbell did Australian Fashion Week, modelled in China and briefly lived and worked in Melbourne.

Last year she returned to Sydney to continue modelling and began studying Media and Communications at Monash University.

Then her study plans hit another speed bump when she was crowned Miss Universe Australia in June.

Five weeks later she was in Las Vegas for the Miss Universe pageant, where she finished third and was crowned Miss Congeniality.

She then travelled the world, fulfilling her Miss Universe commitments, until her contract expired, leaving her free to take on new modelling gigs and appear on Celebrity Apprentice.Campbell, who briefly dated Lara Bingle’s ex, UK rugby player Danny Ciprani but is now single, credits mum Valerie for her business savviness. “I have no business experience, no university degree, but I devour books about business. A favourite is The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People,” Campbell says.

Her mother is “entrepreneurial, strong and a smart business woman”.

“When she couldn’t find somewhere she felt happy to send me to school at, she started her own,” Campbell says.

Silkwood School, a primary school which puts as much focus on music and the arts as academic study, opened in 1997 with two students. It now has 330 pupils.

From her home on the Gold Coast hinterland, Mrs Campbell tells Insider that Jesinta and sister, Aleysha, 17, had “a really different upbringing”.

“They didn’t play with plastic toys they were encouraged to be imaginative and I think that shows through,” she says.

“Jesinta was a successful student, but she wanted to be an actress from a young age; she has always loved getting on stage and performing.

“She was committed to finishing her OP (Queensland’s equivalent HSC) in Year 12 when she won the Runway Section of the Tamblins Modelling Competition.

When Campbell joined Miss Universe her mother was gobsmacked. “We are not a beauty pageant family,” she says. “But she explained it involved charities and she would get a chance to speak in public so I thought it would actually suit her .”

Campbell, not surprisingly, is now actively pursuing work in television.

“There are a few things in the pipeline that I can’t talk about, but nothing concrete yet,” she says.

Campbell lives by a favourite quote from Nelson Mandela: “Your playing small doesn’t serve the world”.

“That’s my thing, don’t play small, get on a plane, take risks,” she says.

“It doesn’t serve anyone to stay in your comfort zone.”

Celebrity Apprentice airs on Nine, Monday to Friday, at 7pm

‘Celeb Apprentice’s Max Markson insists he’s “proud” of Didier Cohen

Max Markson has revealed that he is “proud” of Didier Cohen.

The celebrity agent, who was fired from the Australian version of Celebrity Apprentice along with teammate Cohen earlier this week, said that labelling the model as a “self-confessed cocaine addict” in his desperation to avoid elimination was not his “finest moment”.

Markson told The Daily Telegraph: “[Didier is] an inspiration to kids. He came off the streets in LA, to have turned his life around… I’m proud of him, I like him.”

“I’m proud and privileged to have worked with him. It was a brain snap in the middle of the boardroom and I was under pressure. I’ve apologised to him. If the show offended anyone, there’s no way I want people to think ill of Didier – or me.”

Markson said that he recently received a text message from Celebrity Apprentice boss Mark Bouris praising him for his efforts on the show.

He also listed his best attributes, saying: “I’m passionate, enthusiastic and focussed and those to me are the keys to success.

“People have always had a love/hate relationship with me, now there’s just more people who love me and more people who hate me.”

Since Markson apologised for his slurs against Cohen yesterday, the model said that his drug use is in his past and that he has no time for Markson’s comments.

Australian Network Pulls Out Of Show After Elisabeth Moss Joins Cast

Last week it was announced that Mad Men actress Elisabeth Moss would be taking a lead role in an Australian TV miniseries called Top of the Lake. Well, perhaps the announcement came too soon.

Elisabeth was set to star in the series alongside Holly Hunter as a police officer investigating the disappearance of a young girl, but ABC, a national network in Australia, pulled its $600,000 backing from the project.

“We went into this with the understanding the lead actor would be an Australian. But when that could not happen, we removed ourselves from the deal,” a spokesman for the network said. “We love Elisabeth Moss, but she’s not an Australian. We have a fine calibre of Australian actors available and we would have preferred to see one of them in the role.”

The six part miniseries has found funding elsewhere, but maybe they should have made it very clear that they wanted an Australian actor for the role. I mean really.

Celebrities Untouchable in Today’s Society

As Chris Brown’s F.A.M.E. tour goes into full swing this Fall, backlash against the internationally-known R&B entertainer continues to mount. Despite the popularity of Brown’s single “Yeah 3x”, a electropop tune that has become quite a staple in dance clubs nationwide, the 22-year-old’s career seems to be permanently marred by his domestic assault of former-girlfriend and fellow entertainer Rihanna back in February 2009.

“Dude is a retard for hitting a woman,” says Eric Dowdle.

“I will never listen to him again,” admits Ashley Ross. “That guy is a dick.”

“He is a ‘bag o’ douche’!” insists Kasie Rogers.

And that is only the tip of the iceberg. This past March, Brown infamously hurled a chair through a window overlooking Times Square after an interview with Robin Roberts on ABC’s Good Morning America. He then allegedly became violent in his dressing room, ripped off his shirt, had a confrontation with producers and security, and stormed out of the building shirtless. Many people feel that if Chris Brown were not a celebrity, he would have been thrown in jail long ago.

“Can someone please tell me why people still like Chris Brown?!” Kady Walls rages. “He beat a woman, as in kicked her [butt] black and blue. Whomever can still like an artist who beats his girlfriends is [freaking] stupid.”

Chris Brown is not the only celebrity to receive this sort of treatment. Just Google the name “Lindsay Lohan”, and a string of the troubled 25-year-old actress’s misdemeanors, felonies, and thefts floods the computer screen. Somehow, Lohan has served hardly any jail time, has partied her way through rehab, and has failed to complete her numerous community service opportunities.

Despite all of this, Lohan is still a free woman, and can be seen partying it up in a tank top and hot pants every weekend in Hollywood. Perhaps if Lohan did not have a large (although rapidly declining) income and star status, she would have been forced to personalize a jail cell by now.

“Americans need to get their priorities straight,” Terrance Howard warns. “It is the same with athletes. Kobe Bryant [allegedly] raped someone, but no one seems to remember that.”

In a poll conducted by SodaHead.Com, 79 percent of participants felt that celebrities are unfairly awarded special treatment all of the time. Paris Hilton, Kid Rock, Nicole Richie, Winona Ryder, Michael Vick, and Charlie Sheen are just a few other celebrities who have received arguably nothing more than a slap on the wrist for their bad behavior.

“The repercussions for celebrities are pretty much nonexistent,” Oliver Bryant agrees. “If you or I did even half of the things that celebrities get away with, we’d be locked up faster than Chris Brown can say, ‘Look At Me, Now’.”

Disturbingly, it seems that celebrities like these often receive additional special treatment or a stronger fan base as a reward for their misdoings.

“Chris Brown has received a well-deserved amount of [crap] for beating up Rihanna,” admits Tyler DeLaney, “but it bugs me how, in the end, it only made him more famous.”

While Brown’s career seems to have hit a high point despite many people seemingly want to ban him from entertainment for his misdeeds, Lohan was arrested October 19 for a probation violation and has a hearing scheduled for November 2. Only time will tell what her punishment will entail. Most America is willing to bet…nothing.

Playboy Says Plaintiff Has Wrong Party in Mansion Suit

Playboy Enterprises International Inc. this week has asked a judge to shut the door on a man who attended a charity event at the Playboy Mansion and sued the adult company because he was charged more than women.

The self-proclaimed “partier,” David Long Jr., sued Playboy and unnamed defendants because an event called the “White Party” in 2009 included gender-based pricing where female customers were offered a free or reduced price admission as long as they abided by the terms of entry.

According to court documents, men were required to pay at least $625 to attend the party while promoters issued complimentary tickets to “gorgeous ladies only.”

“Other, presumably less-attractive, women were charged $350,” according to the complaint, which alleges violations of California’s Unruh Civil Rights Act and Gender Tax Repeal Act and unfair competition claims.

Playboy Mansion West is a 29-room house that includes a game house, swimming area, grotto, zoo, aviary and expansive yard area for entertaining.

The company uses it for corporate activities as well as for television production and magazine photography, and for advertising, marketing and Playboy-sponsored events. It also serves as home to Playboy Editor-in-Chief Hugh Hefner.

Playboy also rents out the Mansion to third parties for non-Playboy-sponsored charitable and civic events.

In those cases, Playboy provides for third parties the grounds itself (the Mansion itself is off limits), security staff, staff coordinators, service and clean-up crews as well as rentals, lighting and sound. It also provides off-site parking and shuttles and valets, full bars and bartenders and food prepared by the Mansion’s kitchen.

Promoters also can hire Playmates through Playboy’s Playmate Promotions division to act as docents. Those Playmates have appeared as centerfolds in Playboy magazine.

In the case of the White Party, Playboy said that its promoter paid $80,000 for the event. Two hundred attendees were expected.

Playboy, in its request for summary judgment, said that it wasn’t the party that set any discriminatory pricing; the company said that all it did was rent out the Playboy Mansion to a third party for a non-Playboy-sponsored charitable event, despite that it has some “Playboy” signage, including neon-light, rabbit head centerpieces.

“In no way did [Playboy] participate in or dictate the admission price, guest list, or charity donations … all of these items were set by the promoter exclusively,” a Playboy brief said.

“The undisputed facts show that [Playboy] did not set or charge the allegedly discriminatory pricing, nor did it aid or incite the pricing decision by the promoter. [Playboy] provided a venue and services for a charity event at a contracted per-person price, without regard to gender.”

Earlier this year, Playboy counsel succeeded in moving the case, which seeks class-action status, from Los Angeles Superior Court to federal court with possible damages exceeding $5 million.

A hearing over Playboy’s motion for summary judgment is scheduled Dec. 19 at U.S. District Court in Los Angeles.

‘I’m Not Going To Australia To Hook Up With Danny Cipriani’

Katie Price has revealed that she is not flying to Australia to join the cast for I’m A Celebrity or to see rugby star Danny Cipriani.

The former glamour model has slammed the reports that she’s set to jet off to Oz to hook up with her former beau, who she has been seen spending a few nights with after her split from Argentinian model Danny Cipriani.

It had been reported that the 33-year-old was going to tie-in the visit with a stint on the ITV show as a panellist, but Katie dismissed this.

Tweeting earlier this week (November 7), she wrote: “I’m NOT flying 2 OZ to do I’m a celeb and I’m NOT flying to OZ 2 see Danny! I’m NOT seeing anybody I’m SINGLE! thought I’d clear that rumour.”

Katie starred in the jungle in 2004, where she met her ex-husband Peter Andre but she said that she won’t be going back.

Would you like to see Katie back in the jungle?

Well, considering a chocolate eclair took out one of her veneers at the weekend – wonder what a kangaroo testicles would do!
